Welcome To Splendour

It gives me great pleasure to start this website splendour.biz.ly. This website domain is hosted on www.biz.ly. The reason I choose splendour as website address is because translation of the Arabic word 'BAHA' in English is splendour. Thus the meaning of Bahauddin can be described as Splendour of Din or Splendour of Religion. And I am proud that Bahauddin means Splendour of Islam. May Allah help me live upto the meaning of my name, Ameen.

How to avoid sins?

A man came to Imam Hussain (a.s.) and said, "I frequently disobey Allah and cannot prevent myself from sins; therefore, please, give me an advice O son of the Prophet so that I may keep away from sins."

Imam: "Do five things and then commit sins as much as you want."

Sinner: "Please tell me what those five things are."

Imam: "(1) Do not eat from the provisions of Allah, and then do whatever you like."

Sinner: "Then what will I be able to eat because whatever there is in his universe is from Allah!"

Imam: "(2) Then leave the earth of Allah, and then do whatever you like."

Sinner: "O Imam, this is even more difficult than the first! If I leave the earth, then where would I live-all belongs to Allah."

Imam: "(3) Then find a place where Allah cannot see you, and then do whatever you like."

Sinner: "But, O Imam, nothing is hidden from Allah."

Imam: (4) Then do one thing, when the angel of death comes to you, keep him away from yourself, and then do whatever you like. And if you cannot do that,
then lastly,
(5) do not enter the Hell when God sends you into it. If you can do that, then go and commit whatever sins you like."

Sinner: "That's it, O son of the Prophet! From today, Allah will not find me in a situation which He dislikes."

 

Bill from Allah...

Did you get a bill from Allah?

A man reached 70 years of age and he faced a disease, he could not urinate. The doctors told him that he needs an operation to cure this disease. He agreed to do the operation as the problem was giving him much pain for days. When the operation was completed, his doctor gave him the bill which covered all the costs. The old man looked at the bill and started to cry. Upon seeing this the doctor told him that if the cost is too high then they could make some other arrangements. The old main said "I am not crying because of the money but I am crying because Allah let me urinate for 70 years and He never sent me a bill." Subhanallah! We rarely thank Allah for these things which are indeed great favours. We ask Allah to grant us the quality of being able to thank Him much and remember Him always.

True Love

It was a busy morning, approximately 8:30 am, when an elderly gentleman, in his 70s, showed up to have stiches removed from his thumb. He stated that he was in a hurry, as he had an appointment at 9:00.

I took his vital signs and had him take a seat, knowing it would be over an hour before someone would be able to see him. I saw him looking at his watch and decided, since I was not busy with another patient, I would evaluate his wound.

On examination it was well healed, so I talked to one of the doctors, and got the needed supplies to remove his stiches and redress his wound.

While taking care of his wound, we egan to engage in conversation. I asked him if he had a doctor's appointment this morning, as he was in such a hurry. The gentleman told me no, that he needed to go to the nursing home to eat breakfast with his wife.

I enquired as to her health. He toldme that she had been there for a while, and that she had been a victim of Alzheimer Disease.

As we talked, and I finished dressing his wound, I asked if she would be worried if he was a bit late. He replied that she no longer knew who he was, that she had not recognized him in 5 years now

I was suprised and asked him. And you are still going every morning, even though she does'nt know who you are? He smiled as he patted my hand and said, She does'nt know me, but I still know who she is.

I had to hold back tears as he left, I had goosebumps on my arm and thought, This is the kind of love I want in my life. .............She was one fotunate lady
